Pete exemplifies the meaning of a leader. He goes above and beyond to improve positive outcomes, and he is eager and willing to help his colleagues not only on his unit, but on other units as well. He is caring, compassionate, and clinically superb.

Lemi celebrates his DAISY Award with his colleagues.

Pete is a dedicated mentor and educator, and his peers and colleagues express gratitude for his guidance. He is very supportive and nursing all while fostering professional growth. He truly is an example of Temple’s core values.”

The DAISY Award was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away from an autoimmune disease. The Barnes family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring, and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, and created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.
