Kelvin Kwan N. Lau, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, provided perspective to Reuters Health on a medical records analysis published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons that showed the Albumin-Bilirubin (ALBI) score more accurately predicted outcomes in patients undergoing pulmonary, elective colorectal and adrenal operations than the Model for End Stage Liver Disease-sodium (MELD-Na). Dr. Lau is the study’s corresponding author. MD Alert and Medscape picked up the Reuters Health article.
