Terry Heiman-Patterson, MD, Director of the Temple MDA/ALS Center of Hope, and Michael Benatar, MD, PhD, the Walter Bradley Chair in ALS Research and Executive Director of the ALS Center of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, organized a “Workshop on Guidance for the Clinical Care of Pre-Symptomatic Pathogenic Variant Carriers at Elevated Risk for ALS and FTD” on September 21-22 in Philadelphia. The workshop brought together clinicians, scientists, genetic counselors and members of the at-risk ALS/FTD community.
