Maura Sammon, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, has been volunteering with the nonprofit organization Global Response Management (GRM) to provide medical care at Matamoros, the largest refugee camp along the United States-Mexico border. Dr. Sammon, who has been named the Medical Director for GRM, was interviewed by BuzzFeed News, the San Antonio Express-News, and People Live Here about the living situations and medical conditions she has witnessed during her time at the camp.
