Gallagher, PharmD, FCCP, FIDP, FIDSA, BCPS, Clinical Professor and Director of the Postgraduate Year Two Infectious Diseases Residency at the Temple University School of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Temple University Hospital, spoke with Parade about one of the common side effects of Paxlovid, which is an oral antiviral medication for COVID-19. Patients have reported the medication causing “Paxlovid mouth” and leaving them with a bad taste after the pills are taken.
