Beard, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, is a co-author on a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) that examines the outcomes of elective inguinal hernia repair performed by associate clinicians vs. medical doctors in Sierra Leone. The study was featured on the BBC’s “Health Check” segment.
