During a period of short staffing, Joanna Choi, MD repeatedly added extra clinic sessions and covered additional precepting to ensure that patients could get appointments and residents were supported in clinic. Additionally, she serves in the TRUST clinic as one of a handful of primary care physicians who see patients for opioid-use disorder and provide much needed suboxone. Dr. Choi is always professional and kind, willing to help a colleague or see a patient. We are also grateful for her extraordinary support of our residency program as well as her leadership of the Family Medicine clerkship.
