Janet Lee, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, was honored with the August 2025 Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP) Physician Kudos Award.
Dr. Lee was nominated by Nina O’Connor, MD, Interim Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Chair and Professor of Family & Community Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, who wrote:
“Dr. Janet Lee is a consistently positive contributor to all three of TFP’s missions: clinical care, education, and research. As the only adolescent medicine physician at Temple Health, she has pioneered care for young adults. She was also one of the providers who moved to Temple Women & Families Hospital, providing constructive and helpful feedback to improve operations at our new site. More recently, Dr. Lee has worked with Pediatrics’ Practice Manager to develop a staff recognition program that will positively impact department morale,
Dr. Lee has also emerged as a research leader, taking the lead on multiple successful grant applications. She is generous with her knowledge and partners effectively with others across the Health System and university. Dr. Lee readily includes and mentors students in scholarship, making sure they are involved in abstracts and presentations at conferences to gain valuable experience. She has worked with numerous students on their FMSE projects.
For her positive attitude and deep contributions to the Temple Health community, I would like to recognize Dr. Lee with the TFP Kudos Award.”
