It’s easy to see why @thedogist is a social media superstar (he has 7.6 million followers on Instagram alone!). His feed is nothing but photos of adorable dogs, but that's the point—traveling around the country taking pictures and interviewing owners about why they’re so special.

From being invited to the White House to photograph Commander (and the President) to filming with Jane Goodall for his new show DOGS on YouTube, he’s done it all—and this fall, he visited us at TUH-Main Campus.

@thedogist was here to meet the Crisis Response Canines: trained dog-and-handler teams who provide emotional support to patient care teams, first responders, counselors, and law enforcement. The Crisis Response Canines are regulars at Temple Health, where they help our staff relax and decompress from their lifesaving work.

They were also chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the 2025 Dogist Fund, which supports organizations focused on rescue, working dogs, and/or canine health and wellness.

Several members of our care teams spoke to @thedogist about why the Crisis Response Canines are such a valuable resource, and why it matters that Temple is investing in our employees’ wellbeing by having them on our campuses.
