Chaudron Carter Short, PhD, EdD, RN, NEA-BC, Executive Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Executive of Temple Health, was recently named to City & State Pennsylvania’s 2026 Black Trailblazers list.

“Chaudron Carter Short brings decades of nursing and health leadership to Temple Health, where…she oversees nursing practice and operations across seven system campuses,” reports City & State Pennsylvania. “She is also a professor and distinguished lecturer at Temple University, where her research focuses on intuitive leadership, decision-making and the inclusion of underrepresented communities in the nursing workforce. Active with Delta Sigma Theta sorority, she also lends her expertise to numerous state and regional healthcare boards.”
