Anthony M. Esposito, Jr., CPA, MF, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Temple Physicians Inc. (TPI) and Chief Financial Officer for Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP), effective May 5th.
“Tony has a proven track record of improving operations, driving growth, and maximizing revenue through team building, uniting diverse groups and forging strong physician partnerships,” said Jerry Oetzel, MBA, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Temple Health. “His 30+ years of healthcare leadership experience, extensive familiarity with the needs of community-based physicians and patients, and hands-on expertise in financial and operations management make him well-positioned to assume these leadership positions with TPI and TFP.”
Esposito will report to Oetzel and will collaborate with Claire Raab, MD, President and CEO of TFP, and Abhi Rastogi, MBA, MIS, Executive Vice President of Temple Health and President and CEO of Temple University Hospital Inc.
Esposito comes to Temple Health from Crozer Health in Chester, Pa., where he served as CEO of the Health System and President of Crozer Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician practice plan with 300 physicians and advanced practice providers at 30 locations.
His prior positions include Associate Dean of Financial Affairs for Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia; Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Hackensack University Medical Center Mountainside and Pascack Valley; Executive Director of Corporate Finance for Atlanticare Health System; CFO for Roxborough Memorial Hospital—Solaris Healthcare; CFO for Brandywine Hospital; and Director of Financial Operations for Chester County Hospital and Health System.
Esposito holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University, and a Master of Finance degree from Penn State University, Malvern, Pa.
