At Temple Health, we pride ourselves on showing up for our community—which means ensuring the students in our neighborhood have what they need to succeed.

That’s why we held our annual School Supply Drives at TUH-Main and Episcopal Campuses, benefitting Mary McLeod Bethune School and Henry A. Brown School, respectively.

“We collected two vans’ worth of supplies, including over 60 backpacks,” says Senior HR Coordinator Dawn Stevenson, who organized the Main Campus drive. “We dropped everything off right before Back to School Night, and the kids were so excited.”

“Senior HR Coordinator Shawana Singletary-Gay coordinated the drive at Episcopal Campus,” Stevenson continues. “She was wonderful, and the students at Henry A. Brown School were really thrilled as well.”

Our IT team also held its third annual School Supply Drive for third graders at Julia de Burgos Elementary School. “We provided more than $1,300 in support, between school supplies and monetary donations,” says IT Senior Communications Specialist Emily Pleban.

“Enterprise Manager Margie McCann, Senior Executive Coordinator Ruth Rotinsulu, and Senior Administrative Coordinator Tiffany Morgan, who led the drive, did a phenomenal job,” Pleban continues. “By donating, we demonstrated the positive spirit of our team, and the students and their teachers will feel the impact all year long.”

Julia de Burgos Elementary School Principal Bianca Reyes agrees. “We truly appreciate Temple’s generosity and the partnership they continue to build with our school community,” she says.
