Amara McFarland, Comprehensive Scheduler, Department of Hematology
Amara was singled out for “exceptional professionalism, efficiency, and compassion,” as this excerpt from their nomination shows:
“Amara manages patient scheduling with remarkable accuracy and foresight. Equally important, they consistently follow up with patients quickly and reliably, returning calls and ensuring that no concern is left unresolved. Their communication is always clear, respectful, and reassuring, which helps patients feel supported and confident in their care. Beyond their technical excellence, they bring warmth and kindness to every interaction with both patients and colleagues, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment.”
Keeya Leary, Medical Assistant, TMS-Pulmonary Department
Keeya was honored for “truly representing the values of Temple University Hospital—compassion, professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in patient care,” as this excerpt from her nomination shows:
“Keeya and I have had the privilege of working alongside each other for the past two years. From my very first day, she welcomed me with genuine kindness, patience, and a willingness to help—setting the tone for the supportive teammate she continues to be. She is consistently punctual, dependable, and goes above and beyond to ensure our patients feel seen, respected, and cared for, often anticipating needs before they are asked.
What makes Keeya stand out is her balance: she brings professionalism, focus, and a strong work ethic to every shift, while also uplifting morale and building connections among staff. That same positive energy shines during hospital gatherings, where her vibrant spirit reminds us that joy and teamwork go hand-in-hand.
Keeya’s impact is felt by both patients and colleagues every day. She leads by example, strengthens our team, and reflects the best of Temple University Hospital in all she does.”
