Medical Acupuncture Program

Acupuncture encourages the body to promote healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at specific acupuncture points.

Acupuncture is a very old medical art that dates back over 2,000 years. Today, acupuncture is practiced widely worldwide, and is increasingly used by patients and doctors in the United States. Acupuncture treatments can be used alone or together with other therapies, such as conventional Western medicine and osteopathic manipulations.

Payment, Insurance Reimbursement, & Office Policies

Full payment is required at the time of service. We will, upon request, provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company to determine if acupuncture services are covered. In many cases, a flexible spending account may be used to cover acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture care does not replace the need for a primary care physician. An ongoing relationship with your primary care doctor is strongly encouraged.
