About
Dr. Hamidian Jahromi (he/him/his) earned his medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Iran with honors and completed his residency in General Surgery at Louisiana State University, and plastic surgery fellowship at University of Tennessee, Memphis. He subsequently finished a fellowship in Adult Gender Affirmation Surgery at Rush University in Chicago.
He also is actively involved in research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters. Dr. Hamidian Jahromi has received multiple national and international scientific awards for his presentations at medical conferences. He currently has been awarded multiple patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This was one of the most embarrassing and demeaning appointments of my life. I was berated and lectured about my body size and told there is nothing that could be done for me. The doctor refused to examine me and told me that I had an infection, I was too fat, and depressed within 5 minutes of meeting him. His mind was made up before he even stepped I to the room. There was no discussion of my medical history, chronic pain, and other medical issues that could of contributed towards my complications. This appointment I was only looking for any other suggestions that I could bring to my local provider for additional treatments however all I received was shame, embarrassment, and a lack of compassion I would never recommend this provider to anyone!
Doctor Hamidian Jahromi was amazing.
I have never had such an amazing care provider as Alireza. His empathy is what the medical system should be based on. His presence and personality is comfortable, he was comforting when I expressed sadness. He was informative and very direct. I wish the world was full of people like him and haven't stopped talking about him.
Dr. Hamidian explained everything throughly. He took the time to address all of my questions and make sure I had the information I needed to leave feeling at ease. He expressed interest in me both as a person and as a patient and he often stopped looking at his computer screen to turn around and make eye contact with me while giving me important information or making sure we were connecting in response to my questions.
