About
I am a Family Medicine physician with additional fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine, working to provide my patients with the best possible care. Having grown up just outside Philadelphia and completed all of my medical training in various parts of the city, I know this area well and am excited to continue serving its amazing population.
I have experience caring across the full spectrum of family medicine, including pediatrics, geriatrics, preventative care, and women’s health, with a particular focus in sports medicine. During my fellowship training, I spent time as a team physician for a local high school and as assistant team physician for the Philadelphia Union, the Union II and the University of Delaware Blue Hens. With this background, I am able to diagnose and treat athletes of all ages, weekend warriors, and those with the aches and pains of normal aging. I perform various joint and other musculoskeletal injections and utilize ultrasound in the office both to guide injections and minimize discomfort, as well as for diagnostic purposes.
I look forward to working with you and your family to provide excellent, patient-centered care and build a long-term relationship.
Patient Comments
My care provider is dr. Schutzman. I came in thinking that I needed help with my virus with amoxicillin or penicillin. Dr explain to me that I didn't need this at all because my body was already fighting it. One thing that I need to Say about Dr. Schutzman he's always pleasant to talk with along with being knowledgeable about anything that may be struggling with at this moment in time. I've been coming to temple for 50 years + so without a doubt Dr Jacob is the best I've ever been care for by Temple. So he's a KEEPER for the rest of my life. Thanks.
Loved dr. Schultzmann, my husbands previous doctor retired and we wanted a practice closer to home. We really made a great choice. Dr schultzman was very concerned and offered some add'l services I was not aware of. He's great!
Dr Schutzman allows me to be an active participant in my treatment. He listens to my concerns and questions and does not dismiss the things I say. He considers everything and provides clear and concise feedback.
Every time I see the doctor iam in there for 1 hr just for talking
Addressed all my concerns , and provided all attentions to my care needs
