Dr. Rajiv Bhuta Provides Perspective to Medscape on Dangers of Cyclospora Social Media Trend

Rajiv Bhuta, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offered comments to Medscape about the current flood of videos posted on social media from people claiming they want to catch cyclosporiasis to lose weight. Bhuta explained that even though most of the posts are satirical, they can still be harmful for those who may take them seriously and not recognize the dangers of cyclosporiasis.
