Temple University Health System (TUHS) 

TUHS is a multiple-site health system comprised of six campuses throughout the Philadelphia region: Temple University Hospital — Main Campus, Jeanes Campus, Episcopal Campus, Northeastern Campus, Temple Health — Chestnut Hill Hospital, and Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). The PGY1, PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant, and PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency program’s primary site is Temple University Hospital — Main Campus, with elective opportunities at Jeanes Campus.

Dr. Parekh joined the Temple team in early 2022. Although he grew up in New Jersey, he is now a Pennsylvanian! One of the primary goals in his new role has been to align the pharmacy enterprise across the system. Over the past year, we have already standardized our supply distribution as well as our core technology. The growth of our specialty pharmacy has been continuous month over month allowing for improved access to these innovative therapies. Plans are underway to expand the residency program as well as clinical pharmacy programs across the system. With an ongoing focus on utilization of internal services and optimizing access to care for our community, TUHS will be opening a Home Infusion service in 2024. Our community has guided our mission and will continue to allow us to be innovative as we proudly serve its residents. 

Temple University Hospital — Main Campus

TUH is one of the region's most respected academic medical centers. The 576-bed academic medical center is the chief clinical training site for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. TUH is also one of the few Level 1 Trauma Centers and Burn Centers in the Philadelphia area and is certified as a primary stroke center by the Joint Commission. Additionally, TUH has renowned services including a “Best Practice” lung center, solid organ transplant programs, and six intensive care units.   

TUH has been recognized among the best in the region by US News & World Report and was recently awarded the American Stroke Association's Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. As the tertiary care cornerstone of Temple Health, TUH is committed to excellence in patient care, research, and training. 

Temple University Hospital — Jeanes Campus

Jeanes Campus is a 175-bed community hospital located in the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Jeanes offers a broad range of services including bone marrow transplant, as well as being a Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center.

Pharmacy care at Jeanes Campus is an award-winning service with an impressive array of pharmacy-based therapeutic protocols. 

Temple University School of Pharmacy 

Temple University School of Pharmacy provides the environment to achieve excellence and opportunity in education, research, and practice. The partnership between Temple University Health System and the School of Pharmacy permits opportunities for residents to benefit from the clinical expertise of faculty and develop precepting and teaching skills through recitation, lecture, and clinical rounds with the School of Pharmacy students. The School of Pharmacy offers students the ideal combination of a high-quality education, dedicated faculty, active research programs, and a supportive atmosphere.
