Temple University Health System’s preparations for and treatment of patients amidst the coronavirus pandemic continue to be part of the media’s COVID-19 coverage.

  • Delana Wardlaw, MD, who practices at Temple Physicians Inc. at Nicetown, spoke with 6ABC about COVID-19 testing and the importance of wearing a mask and trying to maintain social distancing during protests.
  • Jake Kieserman and Alec Talsania, medical students at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, were interviewed by the AAMC about returning to their clinical clerkships in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Temple University Hospital received more than $900,000 from the Federal Communications Commission as part of the COVID-19 Telehealth Program. TUH will use the funding for a remote monitoring platform, symptom diagnosis software, tablets, phones, and other equipment to diagnose and treat patients remotely.
