The Temple University Health System was formed by Temple University in 1994 to manage its growing healthcare services. With more than 1,200 hospital beds and nearly 8,000 employees, the System is a major provider of integrated healthcare services for the Delaware Valley. The System consists of Temple University Hospital, Temple University Children's Medical Center, Jeanes Hospital, Northeastern Hospital, Temple-Episcopal Campus and Temple Physicians, Inc.—a network of community-based physician practices.
