TUHS Pharmacy Practice Residency


The Temple University Health System Pharmacy Practice Residency includes 4 hospitals and is tailored to the developmental and career needs of the individual. The partnership of the Health-System and the Temple School of Pharmacy permits opportunities for residents to benefit from the clinical expertise of faculty and offers a structured resource for teaching skills. Residents are trained to provide proficient, direct patient care in both university and community hospital environments including resolution of medication-related problems and practice-related research. Acute Care experiences include Critical Care (Cardiology, Medical/ Respiratory, Surgical, and Burn), Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Bone Marrow Transplant and Psychiatry. Ambulatory Care experiences include: Internal Medicine, Anticoagulation, HIV, Oncology, Pulmonary, and Renal Transplant Clinics. Other Experiences include Code / Rapid Response and ACLS Training, Committee Participation, Drug Information, Investigational Drugs, Medication Safety, Management, and Teaching.
