Temple Hospital Staff Make a Special Moment Possible

When retired Temple Police Commander Ike Johnstone found out that his son, Lance, was chosen to be inducted into the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame, he was ecstatic.
A few weeks before the big day, though, Johnstone was admitted to Temple University Hospital for an infection. Johnstone feared that he would have to miss his son's ceremony.
But thanks to a multidisciplinary team of Temple cardiovascular surgeons, nurse practitioners, and rehabilitation and transport specialists - Johnstone was able to make the trip to Lincoln Financial Field on October 6, 2012 to watch his son receive the honor.
