Celebrating 100th Robotic Urological Surgery at Temple

Daniel Eun, MD, Vice Chief of Robotic Surgery and Director of Minimally Invasive Robotic Urological Oncology, recently performed his 100th robotic surgical procedure at Temple University Hospital – a milestone which his colleagues and staff celebrated with a special luncheon. "I'm grateful and thankful for the opportunity that Dr. Larry Kaiser has given me here at Temple, and for the smart, motivated, and flexible people I work with every day," said Eun. "This milestone showcases their talents, and we're going to forge ahead aggressively with a Robotic Urology program capable of treating the most complex patients," he added.

Dr. Eun is a leading authority in complex minimally invasive surgeries involving cancer, and the reconstructive surgeries of the prostate, kidney, adrenal gland, testis, bladder and ureter. He performs over 40 different robotic procedures, several of which are unique to him, and currently has one of the highest-volume kidney surgery and partial nephrectomy practices worldwide. He routinely evaluates and operates on high-risk patients with multiple complications who are typically offered limited or no surgical options.
