Temple University Hospital to Provide Free Mammography Screenings
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In recognition of that, and to support our efforts in the fight against breast cancer, Temple University Hospital will be offering free mammography screenings to eligible women on October 19, 2012. To be eligible, women must be 40 years of age or older and uninsured Pennsylvania residents.
Temple is partnering with the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Organization to provide the screenings. Interested women who meet the eligibility requirements must call the Linda Creed Organization at 215-564-3700 to be prescreened. The first 35 women to fit the criteria will be scheduled for an appointment for one of the free screenings.
Linda Creed Breast Cancer Organization is sponsoring the screenings and follow-up testing. Screenings will take place on October 19, 2012 from 1 pm -5 pm at Temple University Hospital at 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19140.
