Temple Resident, Student Sweep Competition at Regional Research Symposium

Temple won top honors at the recent Philadelphia Regional Resident Research Symposium, presented by the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation.
Temple orthopaedic resident John Fowler, MD, won first place for his podium presentation, "Bacterial Adherence to Barbed Monofilament Suture in a Contaminated Wound Model."
Temple MD/PhD candidate Steven Back won first place in the poster competition for his research, "Identifying the Role of TULA-2, A Novel Tyrosine Phosphatase, in Bone Remodeling."
The two competed against numerous other presenters from all of the region's major academic centers.
